Who is Patricia Phillips?I have wanted to be a photographer for as long as I can remember.
I started photographing fire hydrants with my brownie camera at age 7 and have progressed from there.
I have a degree in photography and have studied with renowned photographers including Elizabeth Opalenik,
Theresa Airey, and others through out the U.S. and Europe.
My photography experience includes portraits, weddings, corporate events and even the Dalai Lama.
I am constantly trying to expand my knowledge base and have utilized many art forms and alternative
photographic processes.
My greatest passion and inspiration, though, comes from my family. My husband and kids are so great!
Please feel free to view
samples of my work.
How do I schedule a session?Contact me either by phone
301-717-6994 or e-mail me at: patriciaphillipsphoto@gmail.comWe will then schedule a time and place that is best for you.
To create beautiful outdoor portraits I recommend timing the session a couple hours after sunrise or before sunset.
For indoor portraits we will time the session to coincide with the natural lighting available.
Is the cost standardized or individualized? The session fee ($150) is standard and reserves your session day and time.
The session fee allows for three hours at any one location, as well as access to an on-line proofing gallery.
The session fee is to be paid at least one week prior to the session date and is non-refundable.
It is, however, transferable to another date. A24-hour notice is required to reschedule.
Personal checks are accepted.
Prints and products such as frames are separate from the session fee.
How much time will a session take? The session fee includes up to 3 hours at one location.
Whether a park or your home, it is important to create a relaxed environment for the individual being photographed.
Allowing enough time for the session is a major component in transforming ordinary experiences into lasting memories.
What should we wear?Solid colors or patterns that are not overly distracting are the best choices.
Letting children select their outfits often make them feel more comfortable and
give a truer reflection of their personalities.
Please feel free to have several outfits available for the session.
For families having group portraits, try to stay within a “color family” (e.g.,earth tones or pastels).
Also if you have a “photo prop” or a special “toy,” please bring it to the session.
How soon after the session can I see my photos?Approximately 2 to 3 weeks after your session the best 20 to 30 images will be available for viewing through a secure password-protected on-line gallery.
The gallery can be shared with family and friends at your discretion for 3 weeks following your initial activation.
Professional archival quality prints may be purchased via the shopping cart in the on-line proofing gallery.
Your prints will generally be delivered within 3 weeks of your order.
If desired, we can also meet to review and select your favorite images.
This will allow me to assist you in designing the perfect arrangement of products to fill all your needs.
I have a variety of product samples to share so you can see the quality and sizes prior to investment.
Can I personally scan my images and print them? All images are protected by Federal Copyright Laws and printing, downloading, or scanning of images without written consent is prohibited.
Do you sell CDs of the images or a digital file?Yes, yes we do! You can purchase a CD of the images.
You can even get a custom printed CD and case with the image of your choice!
